The objectives of this session will be to highlight the significant safety issues illustrated in the animation, to relate them to past incidents and accidents, and to discuss the current view taken on them by various industry stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
An Airport Crisis - tbc
The objectives of this session will be to examine the issues of disaster and crisis management from an airport management perspective. Issues raised will include relationships with other stakeholders, management of casualties, and business continuity for the airport.

The objectives of this session will be to examine the difficulties of running an ICAO Annex 13 investigation on a major international airport, parallel criminal investigations, evidence collection and accident site management.

This part of the conference will look at the issues of claims and defences arising from the scenario in a manner that is both easily accessible to non-lawyers, and detailed enough to be of interest to insurers, lawyers and adjusters.

1125-1215 The Case for the Claimants - Ricardo Martinez-Cid, Podhurst Orseck
The 'Chairman of the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee' will respond to the technical findings described during the earlier sessions, and outline the basis of the claims on behalf of passengers. He will outline the legal and practical issues surrounding the actions that will be brought against the Defendant parties. Topics covered will include: jurisdictional issues, forum selection, application of Convention systems, and fee considerations.
